Hi, I’m Simina, the founder of the Travel with Simina website!

Have you ever asked yourself one of the following?:

“How do I plan my trip?”

“What are the things locals do?”

“How to visit popular places without crowds of tourists?”

“What are the local recommendations?”

You’re not alone.

By using this website, you’ll spend less time searching on the internet, and more doing what you love: travel.

What you’ll get from me is the perspective of a local who lived in Greece, in the Netherlands, Spain and my favourite trips in Europe.

about travel with simina

After a happy childhood in Romania, I moved to southern Spain together with my parents. 12 years later, I was ready for a change, so I decided to move to The Netherlands.

While I was guiding tourists from all over the world, I decided to grow my knowledge about tourism and studied the Bachelor of Tourism Management in Amsterdam.

I believe that travelling is a necessity, not a desire.

Simina

I’ve struggled with an incurable case of wanderlust for the majority of my life.

I created several travel blogs as a hobby, I travelled as much as I could and learned from every trip.

In 2020, I started my Instagram account Travel with Simina as a memoir of my travels, giving tips as well as connecting with fellow travellers.

Since then, I moved to sunny Kalamata, Greece where I discovered a new culture and beautiful places, and recently I moved back home to Málaga in Spain.

The goal of this blog is to help millennials discover authentic local experiences in Greece, Spain, The Netherlands, and beyond.

I aim to show you beautiful local sites while you discover some of the less-known destinations.

On this website, you will find in-depth articles teaching you how to have the best holiday without breaking the bank, make life memories, as well as find inspiring hidden gems you’ll want to visit.

Thanks for visiting Travel with Simina and I look forward to connecting with you on social media: Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook.
